Release 390 is an 'Optimal Drivers for Enterprise'(ODE) branch release. ODE branches are designed and tested to provide long-term stability and availability for ISV certification, OEMs, and Enterprise customers.

What’s New in Version R390 U15

Windows 10 Open Issues in Version R390 U15

  • [Assimilate Scratch]: The application may crash due to a kernel exception in the NVIDIA OpenGL driver. See “Open Issues in Version 392.59” on page 21 of Release Notes for more details.
  • [Quadro M6000][Quadro Sync]: Unexpected flashing may appear on the display connected to the second GPU.
    Please consult your NVIDIA support team for details on resolving this behavior.
  • [Multi-GPU Mosaic][Quadro Sync]: Application corruption and possible blue-screen crash occurs when enabling WARP while Mosaic and Quadro Sync are enabled.

  • StefanG3D changed the title to GeForce 392.62 Quadro Fermi (+ mod. INF)

Hello @StefanG3D,
is it worth to install this Quadro driver (with your modded INF file) if I currently have latest 391.35 WHQL Game Ready Driver from 27 March 2018 for my GeForce GT 540M? I'm using latest version of Windows 10 (20H2). I sometimes use CAD software (AutoCAD) and Photoshop, but I also play older games.

I have NVIDIA Optimus in my laptop that switches between integrated HD 3000 and GeForce GT 540M.

Regards.

Read all release notes from 391.35 to 392.62 and decide yourself.

Mostly the updates are security fixes, but the change logs in 391.74-392.00 also claim performance improvements.

Hello @StefanG3D,

I just found this site and was wondering whether this inf. file would work with windows 7?

If it does not can you explain how to modify it, thanks

i have an gtx670m card

On a side note, if i can upgrade past this last Fermi model please let me know

and if you can point me in the right direction i would gladly appreciate it.

Windows 7 requires a different INF

Download https://it.download.nvidia.com/Windows/Quadro_Certified/392.62/392.62-quadro-winserv-2012r2-64bit-international-whql.exe

Open nv_dispswi.inf and inject your GPU like this:

[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1]
%NVIDIA_DEV.1213% = Section075, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1213
%NVIDIA_DEV.06D1% = Section004, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_06D1

[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.3]
%NVIDIA_DEV.1213% = Section077, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1213
%NVIDIA_DEV.06D1% = Section006, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_06D1

[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.6.2]
%NVIDIA_DEV.1213% = Section076, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1213
%NVIDIA_DEV.06D1% = Section005, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_06D1

[Strings]
DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_DEV.1213 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M"
NVIDIA_DEV.06D1 = "NVIDIA Tesla C2050 / C2070"

Fermi support has been physically removed in R396+ drivers, as documented in CUDA 9.2 release notes

No dice modding them.

You are a good man, i have tried following other sites and i had no luck with modding the .inf files, thank you for spending the time to help out a poor simple gamer lol

Why do you want this particular driver? It has been succeeded by 392.67

Anyway, there is a now an easier method: use NVCleanstall to install on GeForce Fermi

I am looking to modify the 471.68

In the RAR file are the 2 inf the one that I edited and the original one from the Official nvidia driver

What lines would I have to add to the inf to be able to use quadro drivers in my 1060 6gb

My setup is: an Acer Helios 300 Notebook

1060 6gb
7700hq
16gb ram

471.68 is already available as GeForce driver, anyway:

GTX 1060 comes with 2 different ID's, inject them like this

Section number chosen from most similar device

[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...17098]
%NVIDIA_DEV.1C20%           = Section046, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C20
%NVIDIA_DEV.1C60%           = Section046, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C60

%NVIDIA_DEV.0FF3%           = Section006, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0FF3
...
%NVIDIA_DEV.1C30%           = Section046, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C30

NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
NVIDIA_DEV.1C20 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060"
NVIDIA_DEV.1C60 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060"

NVIDIA_DEV.0FF3 = "NVIDIA Quadro K420"

Thank you very much I have already edited the inf

What is the best installation method according to your experience
I have to run the command: (bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS)?

NVCleanstall or other Metod

NVCleanstall is now my preferred method, because you do not need to edit the INF manually and it adds a signature to the driver
