mobilenvidia
It seems odd that only a few drivers work for you. My INFs are all the same basicly and should install with any go5700. I havn't had any problems with HP ZD7000's which also come with go5700's.

®®®
What you post is the environment variables, which are also useful. But i need to know what the registry says. This was a misunderstanding :) Would you make one last effort?? sorry for bothereing you :) WindowsKey (start), run, REGEDIT and then enter and then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor Edited December 15, 2004 by ®®®

®®®
nope :) what i meant is the Registry Editor, called with regedit.exe, which you can find in system32 directory or by doing the procedure i posted above: 1. hit WindowsKey (start) 2. hit "run" 3. then enter REGEDIT and then enter 4. then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor but i have to go to bed now its 6 in the morning here, was awake too long. Nevertheless thanks for the cooperation. I figured now the way how to determine HT cpus with your help. just wanted to doublecheck the registry. :) good night :P

mobilenvidia
ZZ, Your already up to 20 posts and you only joined 5 minutes ago. :) Well done, you get 1 free post. :) When you say 'won't install' do you mean the driver doesn't work at all ? Can you attach your original INF to this thread, I'll have a look in there or try 71.20 with your OEM's INF that are included with this driver. (NVQU.INF I think just check original INF name) Copy back NVQU.INF to the main directory of driver, delete nv4_disp.inf then use the driver update method to install driver. Instructions are in the FAQ section or website. See how you get on.
