Guest Seventh
Im sorry to hear the inf file didnt work. I had the same exact problem when upgrading from 43.36 to 61.77, the blank screen on boot up and the garbled box in the corner. However using the modified inf did help, and i just assumed it would work for others with the similar problem on similar laptops. Anyways, i have faith in the web masters and they will hopefully resolve the issue. Cheers
Guest need help man
ok, 65.73 seems to work for me..so far.... 2 reboots on battery mode.... keep u updated
mobilenvidia
Edit the INF and look for a section called [Mobile_Tweaks] Add this: HKR,, ModesetBlankDelay, %REG_DWORD%, 1 to the INF. Try either 1 or 150. You'll need to reinstall the driver each time (it's not an instant tweak) Hope this helps, Pieter.
Guest Guest
ok, 65.73 works stable - big performance increase (Doom3) and no black logon screen (tried about ~7 restarts, and batterymode works flawlessly) guys try out that driver... Guest oli
So i also tried the 65.73 driver with ModesetBlankDelay 1 and 150, and both do not work! So here are my additional information: SystemBiosDate = "09/08/03" SystemBiosVersion = "v.1.40" VideoBiosDate = "04/29/03" VideoBiosVersion = "Version 4.31.20.33.B2 Version 4.31.20.33.B2 Version 4.31.20.33.B2" I can also post the subsystem if it's needed (i first have to reboot)! So it seams, that for the WinXP users the problem is gone...Do you have an idea, where the problem can be?

Guest L'alp
Hello! I tried 7ths .inf and it works (3 boots). Had the same blackscreen problem. I updated my driver from 43.36 zu 61.77. Specs: Windows XP SP1 Toshiba Satellite 5200-903 GeForce FXGo5600, 64MB Ram Resolution: 1400 X 1050 Cheers
®®®
That's strange. Semms to be no pattern here. For some people 7th INF workss (ModeSetBlankDelay 150) and for others not. What's even more strange is that people report they have to reboot a couple of times ?!? Normally rebooting more than 2 times doesn't magically fix problems. So it must be something else i would guess. L'alp what is your VBIOS? 902(Home), 903 (Pro)?
Guest L'Alp
With the 3 boots I ment, that I've booted my Toshiba 3 times since the installation of the new driver with 7ths modded .inf and I hand no problems. So it seems to be solid. How can I find out my VBios Version? L'Alp
®®®
OK, misunderstanding on my part. VBIOS= http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?showtopic=756 I verified, updated and corrected the reported Laptops, but we still need more input here as i can't tell everything from my brain :) . ModeSetBlankDelay should work, though i think it's just a messy installation on the affected nonworking Laptops. no Black Logon Screen: (HKR,, ModesetBlankDelay, %REG_DWORD%, 1/150 fixes the problem) Toshiba 5200-802...XP...v65.73...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...vx.xx.xx.xx.xx (need help man) Toshiba 5200..........XP...v61.77...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...vx.xx.xx.xx.xx (seventh) Toshiba 5200-903...XP...v61.77...NV34...1400x1050...FX Go5600...v4.31.20.33.B2 (L'Alp) with Black Logon Screen (HKR,, ModesetBlankDelay, %REG_DWORD%, 1/150 doesn't work) Symptom: "black screen with the small box on the left down side" Toshiba 5200-802...XP...v61.77...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...vx.xx.xx.xx.xx (need help man) Toshiba 5200-902...2K...v61.77...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...v4.31.20.33.B2 (oli & his friend) Toshiba 5200-902...2K...v65.73...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...v4.31.20.33.B2 (oli & his friend)
Guest L'Alp
You're right dontknow: My VBIOS-Version: v4.31.20.33.B2. But I got XP! Cheers L'Alp
®®®
I corrected it. The VBIOS was just copy&paste from OLI's line. I'm too lazy to have a look at Toshiba, but do you know if 902 is XP HOME and 903 is XP PRO Edittion and if they have the same resolution (i think so, it would be rather extreme if not)? Guest L'Alp
There's a problem on the toshiba site, so I couldn't the 902 HOME or 903 PRO question. But I got 903 with XP HOME Edition. I'll try again to connect to toshiba to find out more about 902, 903 and the resolution..... Cheers

®®®
Billigprodukt? To help the others we need to know "What version is the latest driver"? and some other stuff marked in red no Black Logon Screen: (HKR,, ModesetBlankDelay, %REG_DWORD%, 1/150 fixes the problem) Toshiba 5200-802...XP...v65.73...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...vx.xx.xx.xx.xx (need help man) Toshiba 5200..........XP...v61.77...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...vx.xx.xx.xx.xx (seventh) Toshiba 5200-903...XP...v61.77...NV34...1400x1050...FX Go5600...v4.31.20.33.B2 (L'Alp) Toshiba 5200-903...??...v??.??...NV34...1XXXx1XXX...FX Go5600...v?.??.??.??.?? Guest pieman
I'm using the Omega drivers and I've never seen the blank screen problem. I did have the black bar problem, so I used the black bar fix INF and copied the necessary lines over to the Omega INF, and replacesd the existing lines from Omega. Works now. I'm using a Toshiba Sat 5100, with a 64MB GF4Go 440 64MB, with Omega Drivers for Win2k/XP ver. 61.
