andru123 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Share Posted August 23, 2004 Hi, I have downloaded the "supposedly" latest drivers for my Inspiron 8600 from dell web site: -------------------------------------------------------------- nVidia GeForce FX Go5200, v.6.14.10.4586, A02 Release Date: 04/15/2004 -------------------------------------------------------------- Then I came to this site and followed the linkfor the latest driver: -------------------------------------------------------------- nVidia GeForce FX Go5200, v.6.14.10.4586, A05 File Date: 3/11/2004 -------------------------------------------------------------- Notice the numbers and dates! Teraphy Posted August 24, 2004 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 (file dates) A02 - 1/8/2004 for the I8600 from US Dell site. A05 - 1/8/2004 for the I5150 from the Asia Dell site. Basically saying there has been 5 revisions/driver versions for the 5150. There have been two driver releases for the 8600. The files contained are identical otherwise.
