okay, i loved the original deus ex (i know they say dx2 isn't as good, but i just have to play it!!), but not sure if it'll work on my system. forgive me if i have alot of questions...

1) how do i check what version of pixel/vertex shaders my card has?

2)does 3danalyze (or other shader emulators) work with this game?

3)am i totally screwed here?

thanks in advance for any help...

The GeForce4 MX cards do not support pixel shading, but it does supports Vertex Shader 1.1. I've never tried shader emulators but I heard they dramatically slow things down. Even though your card does not support pixel shading, you might sitll be able to run the game, it just wont look as good or as fast.

460 is an MX series card (MX420, MX440, MX460). It doesn't really mean anything technical, its just a brand name used to distinguish it from the "Ti" series cards.
