hello pieter's

i have give a shot to your new 65.62 , it said that i have a geforce 2 ????at the end of the instalation , so i have delete it before re-booting, to prevent trouble...

i presume that DELL will soon relase something new if they been playing around with these ?

thanks for your work anyway

You used the nvdm.inf didn't you ?

Move or delete that file, replace it with my nv4_disp.inf and try again.

The nvdm.inf does have a Geforce2 card in there, it is quite safe to install it as a GF2 but their won't be any tweaks.

Pieter.

On extracting 65.62

nvoglnt.dl_ failed crc check, "file broken"

Is anyone else having this problem?

I - have fixed it for me by expanding the original file from dell.

I'm checking now, no one reported it over the last few days, odd, wonder if something happnened to the file since then.

I'll have to download it my self and confirm then upload again (dialup).

Pieter.

Not sure what happened here, I've changed link back to the Dell site (14MB)

I tested file and it's indeed currupt.

Wonder why no one told me earlier or did something happen since I uploaded it ?

This smell of Alien intervention.

I would have tested it but I don't have time, highschool has started and I am getting pilled with homework, lol.

We just moved into a new school building this year, and I am starting 10th grade.

This smell of Alien intervention.

:: OPEN ISSUES

As with every released driver, version 65.62 of the Release 65 drivers has open issues and enhancement requests associated with it. What follows is a list of issues that are either not fixed or not implemented in this version. Some problems listed may not have been thoroughly investigated and, in fact, may not be NVIDIA issues. Others will have workaround solutions.

:: ISSUES RESOLVED

:: OPINION [*by LSudlow]

  • The 65.xx series could prove to be interesting. Several previous DLLs have been consolidated and the INF is signifiantly streamlined as a result. The small drop in performance, barely noticable, seems offest by (to my eyes) better image quality on most tests.
  • The annoying blink of the screen at startup is now gone. (I don't know about the Coolbits blink. If someone wants to test it, I'll report the results here.)
  • One frustrating note: I'm a big fan of Morrowind, and the in-game lighting appears to be mis-handled with this driver. Ambient lighting in interiors is reduced (or missing) and objects appear to reflect too much light from light sources, now appearing to be lit from within. Unless I can find a way to revert to normal lighting, I'll be switching back to 62.20. I'm sure we'll hear of any other oddities soon enough.

Pieter's version may perform quite differently.

Lol, that sounds like what would happen If I added that many drivers in a short amount of time.

On a side note I just downloaded this:

http://download.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/65series/6562.exe

And there were no errors extracting it, and since I have the zip program thingy installed, I did an archive test and it also said it was fine.

Another thing to point out, what Pieter said up above about alien intervention would make a nice qoute.....
