®®® Posted September 13, 2004 Report Share Posted September 13, 2004 :: UPDATES :: DETAILS v65.90 Desktop driver for 2K.XP, filedate 05.08.2004, released 03.09.2004 English only, Setup included, no WHQL certification Quadro FX4000 driver released by nVidia, Digital Vibrance doesn't work in Games v65.91 Desktop driver for 2K.XP, filedate 09.08.2004, leaked 25.08.2004 English only, no Setup included, no WHQL certification Added this driver for those who would like a challenge in getting Direct3D to work, which apparently doesn't work with this driver, only use for testing ! :: OPEN ISSUES :: ISSUES RESOLVED :: OPINION [*by LSudlow] 65.73 and 65.90 are very similar drivers, with none of the problems we've seen in previous 65.xx and 66.xx drivers. Benchmark scores are good and very consistent. 66.00, on the other hand, has some odd exceptions: - 3DMark01 never completes. After running all tests, instead of displaying a result, it just loops back to the first test and runs again ...and again ...and again. So no 3DMark01 result this time around. - We've had at least one machine report a driver failure on installation, though it seemed to work okay after a reboot. - We've had at least one report of Warcraft features not working with 66.00. Morrowind's interior lighting, which was mishandled by 65.62, works fine with all three of these drivers, which have reverted to the traditional 5x.xx/6x.xx architecture. It appears nVidia has abandonded (at least for now) some of the more radical changes we saw in 65.62. 65.xx and later drivers are fully compatible with both SP2 and DX9c, so if that's your need, give 65.73 or 65.90 a try. 66.00 needs a bit more time to mellow.
