mobilenvidia
I must not have uploaded it, I'm looking on my HD where I made 30.34a. I'll have a look on the server and check, if I did forget to update then I will. I'm also in the middle of 54.05a from HP so I'm down to a crawl in surfing. It's the latest 50 series driver, came accross it by accident.
mobilenvidia
Phew, what I have is right, I had to change it so the driver would copy the file. my INFs don't have the [nv.nViewPanel] or the nv.nViewPanel = 11 It's just the way my INFs work that it looks wrong. This will be fixed with v 30.35 which will allow for both kinds of INFs. Good spotting, but this was fixed with 30.34, I added the 'a' when I fixed the other bigger problem. Hope this explains it. Got 54.05, will do the compression and upload when I go to bed.
LSudlow
Pieter, I'm confused. The two examples you cited are identical below the [nv4_Generic_Service_Inst] section. Are you saying that section is (or was) missing from 66.12? :) EDIT: Never mind; I see what they did. (That section is doubled and bunched together at the top of the INF.) Looks like someone got careless. I'm surprised it even installs! I certainly wouldn't change your inf structure based on this driver. The normal structure should work fine with it. As to the nvtsext.dll -- It's just a Toshiba skin for the NV control panel, replacing the normal Nvidia skin, nvgfx.dll. Unless someone really wants the Toshiba skin, it's not needed. :)
®®®
nvtsext.dll = NV TS (Toshiba) extension? Could be. Can somebody make a screenshot? Maybe it's customizable to LV2Go :)
®®®
Why is it that only TS has an own skin. I didn't found any other nv*ext.dll files? WE WANT CUSTOMIZATION, do we?
LSudlow
If someone can figure out the file format, it shouldn't be too hard to come up with a LV2GO.DLL to create our own skin.

Bill
I have been getting a similar problem in certain games with the 66 drivers on my I8200. Try the 61.77 or that new 61.82 driver from nvidia. Or maybe the 65.73? Report back here after you try them. Bill Edit: Oh, and I would love to have a modded skin. :)
LSudlow
I've seen other modded skins for the nVidia Control Panel in the past, so I know it's possible. If anyone knows how it's done, please feel free to jump in here!

Download the driver and extract, then below it it says 'mobile INF modified for v66.10' Click on this save this INF wherever you have saved the driver and replace the original INF. You are trying to install with original INF which doesn't include the 44go. Now install

ulysse
Hi all, I just discovered that there is a new version of the 66.10 WHQL driver on the WindowsUpdate catalogue. In addition to the Dell INF it comes with a generic INF for all a variety of mobile chips. You can find it for download on WindowsUpdate Catalogue searching for october 2004 NVIDIA drivers. The supported cards are: NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_0174.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go" NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_0175.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go" NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_0176.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go 32M" NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_0177.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 460 Go" NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_0179.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go 64M" NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_017C.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro4 500 GoGL" NVIDIA_NV18.DEV_0186.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 448 Go" NVIDIA_NV18.DEV_0187.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce4 488 Go" NVIDIA_NV31.DEV_031A.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600" NVIDIA_NV31.DEV_031B.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5650" NVIDIA_NV31.DEV_031C.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX Go700" NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_0324.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200" NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_0325.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5250" NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_0328.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 32M/64M" NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_032C.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go53xx" NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_032D.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5100" NVIDIA_NV36.DEV_0347.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700" NVIDIA_NV36.DEV_0348.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700 " NVIDIA_NV36.DEV_034C.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX Go1000" nv4dispd.INF ( 18.16k ) Number of downloads:

®®®
Ulysse, i repacked the driver to included the WU release you found. It's uploaded now. When extracting it will show a "66.10ALL" folder with 2 subfolders: 66.10 (the original DELL release) 66.10WU (guess what? the WindowsUpdate release) The Windows Update release has more localisation files, which means more languages are supported, also some other minor difference/changes. So i would suggest to use the 66.10WU driver. Also it's WHQL. :) NOCHMAL FÜR DIE iNFO.scheisse meine shift tast war an.
