®®®
If it comes to readout temperatures of CPU, Mainboard and HDs i personally use SpeedFan since ages. Back in the days there were alternatives like MotherboardMonitor and some others, but i liked the GUI and handling of settings and features in SpeedFan more than the overloaded MBM. Though i have to admit that MBM adresses the Temp, FAN and Sensor freak, for whom there are tons of options. A sidenote: The development of MBM is stopped as of middle 2004. To come back to the topic here's MobileMeter from author 'hexmagic', a tool which is able (in Windows 2000 and XP) to read out CPU & HD temperatures, CPU frequency and Battery Charge and Discharge rate (in WATT). Also it draws a chart. It needs no installer, all settings are saved in an .INI file instead of the registry (i love that). Filesize is only 48kb (!), standalone.exe Here are the links: http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Oakland/8259/ (japanese with download link) http://dssc3031.ece.cmu.edu/~tamaru/mobile...terreadme-e.htm (english explanation)
