What follows is a list of issues that are either not fixed or not implemented in this version. Some problems listed may not have been thoroughly investigated and, in fact, may not be NVIDIA issues. Others will have workaround solutions. :: ISSUES RESOLVED Significant issues resolved in driver version 71.4x :: OPINION [*by LSudlow] After the release of several drivers based on older versions, we have 71.40, a thoroughly modern driver in every respect, with all the latest features (including LOD Clamp) and a full set of mobile INFs. Performance is in the middle of the pack for the 7x.xx series, which means it lags fairly far behind 67.03 on my FX Go5200. I saw some texture anomalies in both 3DMark03 and 3DMark05 that I've not seen before. It will be interesting to see if people see them in games as well. The problem with yellow water in Half-Life 2 is still present. Owners of 128MB (or more) cards might want to give 71.40 a try, especially if you enjoy having the very latest technology on your machine. Owners of cards with 64MB (or less) of RAM should stay with 67.03 :: BENCHMARKS [*by LSudlow] driver performance comparison charts for some GPUs for GF2 Go: HERE from Pieter (v16.20 - v61.77) for FX Go5200: HERE from Larry (v5x.xx - current) for FX Go5700: HERE from Sky-Dexter (v65.73 - current) :: DOWNLOAD & This and all other drivers available at LaptopVideo2Go are 7-zipped and come as a self-extracting archive for your convenience. Kamika007z
Too bad these drivers aren't as fast as the 67.02's :)
LSudlow
They are faster for people with 128MB and 256MB cards. Unfortunately, that doesn't include too many laptop owners. :)
