Guest james
Hi all, Just a little question to the people who run the site.. It's looking very nice and beautiful with Invision 1.3 However do you know that invision 1.3 is NOT compatible with PHP version 5? It means that when your web host updates server software to PHP 5, this forums will not work. Just wondered if you already planned something? Personally I would like to see this forum in VBulletin, it deserves it.
mobilenvidia
Cheers for that James, we have been looking at V2.0. May have to look a bit harder and faster now. Or one day we have no forum. Teraphy, what are your thoughts ?
®®®
We already had a first taste of incompatibility with a PHP update which incorpareted a new version of the ZEND optimizer :) some weeks ago...
Teraphy
I honestly never really thought about it. I don't know when PHP5 will be fully supported and implemented by most hosts anyway. Sounds like a voting opportunity. I've been happy with IPB, mostly due to it's addtions created by end-users. I think that PHP update was required by VBulletin (?) to fix some big holes thus we got some reprocussions.
Guest james
Invision 2 is great. But, All the greatest forums of the web are VBulletin. And the admin functions are top notch.
