Realtek HD Audio Codec driver - Latest drivers

Zeating

I'm having bad popping/skipping also. I'm using 5.10.0.5772. Should i downgrade or upgrade to newest?

Also, This is on my home PC. Not a laptop. I have onboard Realtek HD. Thanks

That's why I've stopped putting it as a news post.

You have to reselect HD Audio Drivers, as you've probably realised by now.

That and the terrible download speeds.

Happily it doesn't have the audio skipping 2.23/24 gave me on Vista. I'm not sure if its Windows 7 or the driver, but either way I'm happy. :)

edit :: Belay that, after further testing I can reliably cause 2.25 to skip after a few hours of heavy CPU/GPU load. Its better than 2.20-2.24, but still broken.

Oh well, back to trusty 2.19 again! :)

Kind of depressing that every driver since 2.20 fails at its primary purpose for me!

Honestly, if it wasn't for the Acoustic Echo Cancellation feature I'd use the Microsoft HD Audio drivers, its not like these are hardware-accelerated.

Started another pinned thread with R2.27.

I'll keep these hosted here, as the RealTek site is juts too cumbersome, and Rapidshare not ideal either.
