Great scores. Thanks for the update. Try using the 'courier' font for standardized letter width :)

:) I just put these drivers through on my Go 6800, I haven't overclocked or anything yet, I wonder if my accidental warranty covers me accidentally overclocking my Go 6800?

CPU: Intel Pentium M 1996 MHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Go

289 MHz / 592 MHz

OS: Microsoft Windows XP

Res: 1024x768@32 bit

3DMark05 Free Version

Score

77.62 3297

77.72 3338

78.11 3416

I don't know if this helps at all, any who. If anyone does know about my warranty question, please inform me. Thank you very much! ! :)

i get 3415 with 78.11 on the i9300 Go6800

could people post results for the Go6800 using the 8x.xx drivers?

I have a XPS gen 2 and have a couple benchs i can share for the 8x.xx

No OC, Performance INF with AA & AF off (with the basic performance INF i get around 5200 w/o changing AA, AF to off)

82.10 - 5347 saw a little tearing at end of bench so i dont use this one

81.94 - 5338

the rest of the 8x.xx were slower for me and i think the 81.94 is the best and/or most balanced for the card so far

Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo 3438G - Centrino 2Ghz, 2x512 ddr2, 6800go 256mb

I got only about 3000 in 3dmark 2005 ( default 1024x768 , no OK) with the latest Omega Drivers

why such a low score ?

Perhaps this, are your drivers newer than 81.26? They do this bug.

I realize that I am probably an uber-n00b but if you guys could help me out here I would REALLY appreciate it. I just used the performance inf to install the 81.95 mobile drivers for my GeForce Go 6800 Ultra. I got...a 2195 for my 3d Mark scores?? This seems like it should not be at all.... As I said I am a total newbie when it comes to messing with video cards and whatnot so if you guys could help me bump up my scores to your standards, it would be amazing. Thanks.

These drivers seem to be slow benchmarkers for some people, maybe try something else? (not sure what, I haven't been keeping up with benchmarks lately)

Well i'm very pleased to be scoring 4550 on 3dmark05 with my Amilo.

I optimised my drivers. took alittle time but i eventually got there and found the ones that worked best with my geforce 6800go Turned out to be the 82.12 if anyone is interested!

I overclocked to 395 core and 740mhz memory either that or 750. can't remember now.

Its amazing how much difference the drivers made considering when i first started getting into the drivers aspect i was only scoring 968 3dmark05 points.

I tend not to run tho at that speed as it will overheat my laptop but i score in the 4ks with my lowered more stable clock speeds.

Wot are the rest of you running stable at using the geforce 6800go 256 ?

Yeah i was wondering the same thing i have an amilo 3438g as well and i want to overclock especially as the elder scrolls oblivion is coming but as soon as want to overclock tht warning from nvidia comes up to scare the s*** out of me! how safe is overclocking anyone? i realise this is a stupid question (since everyone seems to have done it) but i need some peace of mind!

No idea, you have to test yourself. My 4438 default is 325/600. Self test allows about 360/618 and ignoring self test with RivaTuner allows about 360-370/640-660 with glitches creeping in. So far I haven't tested the treshold where the glitches start, maybe I'll do it later.

@ 380/680 artifacts begin to appear after few hours of gaming, so I would say treshold is 360-370 for the core and 650-670 for memory in my case. That is roughly 10% increase in performance, but GPU temp is 2-3 C higher under heavy load.

@ sonics6: try to lift back of your laptop a bit so GF6800 fan (below the power on button) could suck the air in and provide better airflow. I had cut my old mouse pad in order to do it and after that max GPU temps dropped from 91 to 89 C.

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone can explain to me if there is a big difference between DDR and GDDR3. Why i am asking is because i bought a laptop with a go 6800 and the company said it had GDDR3, but the core is running at 375mhz, and the ram is running at 600mhz (effective), could anyone clarify this for me please.

3dMark05 = 4044

3dMark03 = 9056

ITC Millennia 8002, Centrino 1.6Ghz, Go 6800 256mb, 1024 DDR2 ram, 80 gig samsung, 17" WSXGA.
