Bill
Will the modded INF for the current driver work with the 64bit one? Maybe with a tweak?
Guest Xonticus
Hello, I have an Nvidia Geforce Go 6600 for my pretty new laptop, and i installed the new drivers with the modified inf. everything works out fine, except, I cannot get battlefield 2 to run anymore! it used to run on my version 71 driver that came from manufacturer, but now it doesnt. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Guest Guest
Ok- I decided to retry the 77.72 drivers and they work really well with my Alienware- however if I roll back to say 71.89 (which by the way, does not work well) my computer goes haywire to the point I have to Uninstall the Nvidia Drivers from Add/Remove and start over from 62.20... then move up to 77.72 and there are no issues with it- except one. Far Cry. I can not play Far Cry with the 77.72 drivers- I called Ubisoft about it and they said that 77.72 is really 'flakey'! And on top of that Ubisoft does not support the Go cards to play with (to me this seems to be a crock)... just a heads up... ®®®
Thanks for that. This clears things up. Need to add the release notes like i did for the other drivers when i have time.
Guest One more from RickyRockFish
for the person having application corruption.. I.E. the menu does not function right in the display driver tabs... also from the release notes: If you perform a clean driver installation (no previous NVIDIA drivers installed), you must reboot your computer. If you do not reboot, the predefined application profiles will not be activated and you may experience application stability problems. Guest DoDi
Hi there, I installed the 77.70 drivers on my new Toshiba M40 w/ Go 6600 GPU. I used the reccomended method and wiped clean all my old drivers before installing. The problem I'm having is the same as the person above, where my Battlefield 2 will no longer work. It simply starts up, gives me a black screen right before the intro video is supposed to start, and drops me back to the desktop. I tried the overlay fix to no avail. My old drivers worked fine with BF 2. Any more suggestions on what I could try? Or should I wait for the reccomended 77.72 drivers to hit with a mobile inf? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
Guest Guest
The 77.72 drivers have worked well for me. I was suggest using the inf from this forum and install those.

Guest johnston21
FX Go5200 32M (on a Toshiba). Currently running 67.66 with a modded nv4_disp.inf (AGP, Modes, Models stuff) & mode files. The new 77.70 Go drivers (@ guru3d) do not have a nv4_disp.inf file but 2 other inf files, nvcv.inf for the 66 & 6800 series, and NVMT.INF for all others. When I try to install using either the setup.exe or manually pointing to the NVMT.INF file (after having used a driver cleaner), I get a "hardware not listed" error. Ok, so I modded the NVMT.INF file to have the same Models from my 67.66 modded inf and I still get the same error. Only thing I haven't done yet (because I want to try it all a 2'nd time) is to replace the 2 inf's with the 67.66 ver. Also found that the 77.70Go's left a nview.dll file in the system32 folder which WinXP didn't like at OS start-up. Deleted the file and the start-up message is gone. LSudlow
Ah! You have come to the right place. This is exactly why we are here. Download the correct inf file from the bottom of the first post in this thread, then install using the "have disk" mehod, which you'll find described here. Guest johnston21
Ok, I got the inf for 77.70's. Will review it and further mod it as necessary (AGP, Modes re: Toshiba, Primary Monitor). Correction to my post above, I tried using my 67.66 inf and it didn't recognise the hardware. Very wierd.... Will advise. Update: Using the 77.70 inf I further modded it: AGP to 1, Modes line re: Toshiba black bar, and the Primary Monitor mod. Installed no problems this time, yea. Note for my Toshiba, I also update the Modes.txt file. The Power Mizer does "appear" to be functional for me. Thanks all!!! nv4_disp.inf
Guest DoDi
Well I tried the 77.72 driver, guru's 77.70 driver, all install fine and work with other games but no BF2...yet the OEM driver worked with it fine. I'm still open to suggestions if anyone has any. Thank you.

Creative_ar
Hey everyone... I am wandering which drivers and .INF file will give me the best performance for my Dell INSPIRON 5150? I am currently running the official 77.22 with the Larry's "Nv4_75_disp.INF" optimised for Dell Inspiron 5150 I found on LV2go...
LSudlow
67.66 is the fastest of the drivers in the past year or so. It's a very good driver but it's becoming a bit dated. 72.14 is the most recent driver that runs without problems. It's the version I'm currently using and works well with everything I've tried.
