ofelas
And here's the other Dell 77.24 driver, released for the Quadro FX Go1400 - WHQL & Quadro Certified. It has INF support for the Go 6800 & Go 6800 Ultra as well, so most likely it's the same driver as what Rene posted above. List of fixes - Fixes and Enhancements General driver update, includes increased graphics peformance Fixes: 1. Dell password protected screen caused DVI flat panel to lose display 2. CGC 3D application takes about 60-80 seconds to open application. Available here - http://ftp.us.dell.com/video/R103744.EXE NVDM.inf is attached in this post. Notes - This driver gave me ~ 3% increase in Cinebench 2003, and the OpenGL Application Select boxes are now the in same format as the Forceware drop down boxes for Global Driver Settings". ®®®
I downloaded and compared all three (3!) driver packages. They are bit-to-bit equal except the DELL version.txt :) . What a space waste on DELL's FTP :P I added the fixes for FX Go1400 to the ISSUES RESOLVED notes. :) They were not listed for the Go6800/Ultra. Kamika007z
Thanks for the update guys! Does this have the powermizer bar working by any chance? EDIT: Nope :) Edited July 11, 2005 by Kamika007z
Guest BrnmccO1
I downloaded this driver from Dell's website, before I saw this thread here. Gave me a nice little boost in 3dMark03 (~100pts), and broke 55,000 in Aquamark3 for the first time! :) However, the Counter Strike: Source video stress test, I only get 33-34 FPS?! WTF??? I used to get 65 with same settings with the crap 67.71 driver this lappy shipped with. HL2 seems to play okay, and looks good. Going to run the timedemo on Doom3, and let you all know what I get there. Powermizer bar seems to be working here! And at least this driver has doesn't have the horrid issue with the overlay gamma control the other 77.xx drivers do! System Specs: Dell Inspiron 9300 Pentium M 1.6 Ghz 1 GB PC2 4300 Kingston ram GeForce Go 6800 77.24 driver. If you already have this driver from Dell's website, I made a small .reg file you can merge with the registry, that contains most of the registry tweaks that Pieter had in the 30.71 .inf file. (This way you can install the driver, and keep the WHQL). If you're installing a desktop driver on a laptop, then you need the modded .inf file. This might be easier for some users, what do you think. Have a look at the file, and let me know if it needs anything else.
