When the next driver update?

The last one 81.94 goes all the way back to Nov.

I'm having some crashes with Oblivion so I'd like some little fixes.

Specs:

P4650 3.4GHz, 2g RAM, go 7800GTX and 2x60GB 7200RPM RAID0

In case you have not seen, but we have a Support Forum for these kind of questions and even a dedicated driver thread for the Oblivion driver release.

ARIMA W830-DA

http://www.arima.com.tw/ViewProduct.asp?View=150

SLI Go 7800 with Turion/Sempron, LCD 17"

I wonder who makes the Chassis for this, it's a completly new design.

150w power supply with SLI go7800 GTX's, thats less than 1 go6800 Ultra based machine.

Wonder if that is right, although 2 hours battery life is really good for SLI.

This if the specs are right would be a VERY nice machine indeed, thanks for pointing it out.

This is a must put on the news page :)

Also lets not forget the 128 or 256MB go7600 based W820-Di

17" screen

Duo P-M

The Thermal Designs are very low, but how could it be possible that the consumption of a go 7800 (36W) is twice of a go 7600 (18W)?

The go7600 only has a 128bit Memory bus 1/2 of the go7800.

And only 8 pipelines compared to the go7800GTX's 24.

This will be a big part in the power reduction.

But saying that the go7600 runs @450/500Mhz where as the go7800 runs @350/550Mhz this would increase the power used.

But then the go7600 is on based on the NV73 and the go7800 series on the NV70 more effeciency has been introduced.

The ARIMA W830-DA with 2x go7600 GT's would be a very nice machine, it won't be a world beater, but should do very well with still a little battery life as well.

The 2x go7600 (GT's) will probably run at the same power as 1 go7800

The WUXGA screen is reason enough for me to prefer this machine over the Sager NP5950

BTW I've posted a wee blurb on this on the front page

Storm 830T SLI - WXGA

This should be the Spanish version (I've contact them, they're from Barcelona).

This comes with the go7800 GTX in SLI, not the go7800 as with Arima.

Same chassis though, it must be a Clevo chassis as the other machines (19") are based on the Clevo chassis.

Interesting stuff

Added links to each configorator page.

You are good at this :)

No configurator yet, but a piccy all the same.

In my contact with the ahtec about Storm 830T SLI, they said don't have any international warranty, but just in Spain for 2 years.

I'm very interested in this laptop (not in SLI for now) but they have not said me the price, yet.

Ciao! :)
