Getting most out of current drivers?

Okay my system is stable yet I'm using the 78.01 drivers from this site... I scored a mere 4000 yet I've seen post from other guys with the Go6800 hitting 5000+?? I wonder if this could be the reason my Vampire Bloodlines, & Alice can sometimes be sluggish? Any thoughts?

There are some around with go6800 Ultra's, or flashed to higher clock speeds..

If your 6800 is just a stock 6800 that could certainly explain why.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what do you mean by stock?

On my desktop the moment I booted up when the laptop first arrived was a file (My PC Information.XML) that gave all the info about it & if they were tested... i.e. heres a post... also I thought it was funny that they gave me my scores which you'll see listed.
