Bill
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?dr...ype=1&dir=1 Its really not that hard to find, look for 77.77 and the INF link right next to it. You can also search the 7x series section on this forum for this topic. http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?showtopic=7379 A link to this topic can also be found in the link above. This shouldn't harm your system. In fact 77.77 is a pretty good officially released by Nvidia stable driver, which is why I recommend it.
polish inspiron
Hmmm. I give up. I have downloaded the driver, inf and nfo files. But I have no idea what should i do next? I thought that i ought to change the inf file with my old inf file, but i've searched whole hdd and couldn't find it. Sorry for bothering, but could you help me what to do? Tnx anyway. polish inspiron
Ok. I've did it. My inf file was named *.inf.inf. That's why file changing wouldn't work. I've switched the inf files and started instalation with setup.exe. After everything ma lap has rebooted but before logging out from win I had such a windows Wystąpił wyjątek aplikacji: Apl: C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe (pid=1880) Kiedy: 2006-12-08 @ 21:16:52.269 Numer wyjątku: c0000005 (naruszenie praw dostępu) It's some kind of error. I'm not sure if it's ok. I've got also problems with display. My resolution automatically changed to 1400x1050 pxl and it looks like normal but on the right part there is a lot of color stripes (circa 3 cm) and below sth like another screen (circa 3 cm). When I use screenshot captor it takes a normal look screen without those stripes and without that other screen belowe. I'm not able to put my mouse cursor at those places, sth like they are not the part of screen. I don't know what to do. Pls help!!!
Bill
What resolution is your LCD? http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/enhancer Using the appropriate fix on that page with the 77.77 INF should get you a working INF. Select the Dell resolution fix for your screen and it will spit out a customized INF file that should work for you. Hopefully that will fix your problem. polish inspiron
Sorry, but what is LCD resolution? Is it the same resolution I can change in Screen properties? If not how can I check it? I also do not understand how can i select the Dell resolution fix for my screen on page with enhancer. I don't see there such an option. After getting that fixed INF, sholud I made the installation process one more time? or not. Thanks 4 all. polish inspiron
Hey. Please don't forget about me. Could you reply to my latest post???
Bill
I want to know what the native resolution of your LCD is, as in the maximum resolution it supports and is designed to run at. If you really don't know you can run this program from the last working driver and post the log file up. This will tell me exactly what LCD you have hopefully. http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?showtopic=756 I assume you have the faulty 1600x1200 screen though, so the Dell SEC3255 fix on the enhancer page I linked above should be the proper fix for your screen, unless you have a different one. Just select the driver version number and check the fix and it hit submit and you will have a new INF to use with a fix copied into it. Sorry for the late reply, we have exams next week, as well as xmas to get ready for soon, so I have been very busy.
polish inspiron
Really sorry. I didn't knew that you're having exams. I can't go back to my latest working driver. In my great stupidity i've installed 77.77 driver twice. That is why I can't uninstall this driver and go back to my older one. I will try to find out what kind of nativ resolution is my LCD. However, I don't have faulty 1600x1200 resolution. It's 1400x1050. I don't even see that resolution you've mentioned. That is why i'm not sure if that fix from enhancer will help. Please tell me also if I need to install the driver one more time or only do sth with .inf file? Thanks, and good luck for exams. Kacper

Dano2873
Hi Bill I am new to this forum and you seem to be somewhat of a guru, so I hope you don't mind me picking your brain. I have a Dell XPS M1710 notebook with a Nvidia GO7950GTX graphics card. According to the Dell website there are 3 drivers available: 84.69, 91.45 and 92.77. I was about to download the most recent (92.77) but is this the right thing to do. i can't really tell what the difference between the three are, and am assuming that each is an updated version of the last. Any advice for a newb? Many thanks Dano
Bill
Dano, The 92.77 driver offers initial support for Blu-Ray Disk playback. Says so on Dell's site if you read through it. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...p;fileid=184933 Since it is a Dell release it should work just fine on your system (standby and everything should work) and newer games should run fine on it, you don't need the absolute latest driver. If your not planning on upgrading to a BD-Rom drive then you could just skip this one and stick with the 91 driver, however it is newer, and maybe contains some better video acceleration support. As for Leroy, that sounds like your DX9 is not fully up to date. The newer games should come with a newer DX9 version so run the update that comes with the game. (or see below link) It could also just be a bad/corrupted DX install. Re-installing should fix the issue. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx
