I'll update it all soon. BTW, in 82.12, you can make a extra CRT or LCD primary in Dualview mode.
Thats interesting, either Pieter is finaly putting the tweak that we have known for a while in his INFs, or nvidia is secretly making more changes to their drivers like I thought....

The mystery continues...

Anyway I guess those are nice benchmarks. :) (I really haven't been keeping up :) )

I might try and see if I can get 3Dmark03 to run on this thing now, didn't work last time I tried. (long time ago, on GF4go))

I updated it. Interesting, with 81.94 I scored the highest. Someone edit the title and add benchmark tables, and you can pin this if you want.

I'm confused, 81.94 is not added to the first post, and what exactly do you want the title changed too?

jamesd's GF Go 7800 GTX Benchmark sets.

I must have forgot to complete my edit before, sorry. Works now. Also updated the table text, thanks ®®®.

Topic pinned and title edited, although not in that order necessarily..

Merry xmas! (although a bit late)

Were getting so many pinned bench threads now, so I was hesitant, might make a special forum for these if we get enough....

My Acer is dead, so the pinned go5700 benchies are growing obsolete :)

I'm working on more benches as we speak. I've added a overclock (432/1200) for 81.98 for 3dmark03.

Scores for 83.40 added. Will do 3dmark03 and 3dmark05 later, but it might take a bit as I have to reformat, and i'm running out of DVDs :)

E1705?

Last time I checked, they only come with Go 7800s, not the Go 7800 GTX. Hmmm, i'm confused.

Hi guys, i've been reading here for some time now, and i finally registered, because i have an issue.

I have a Dell 9300 Inspiron which came shipped with a Geforce 6800 Go 256mb. I decided after one year i needed an upgrade, and modded it to a 7800 GTX which I bought on Ebay. So far, the card is working a-ok, and works better, cooler then the old one.

Now: When I bought the laptop, it came with dell standard drivers. Overclocked, i made a 3dmark2005 score of 4100 points on that original card. That's all the testing I did. Just before I bought the new GPU, I ran another test, and (overclocked on same value's )scored 'only' 29xx-ish. This is significantly lower then I used to do.

Now, with the 7800 GTX, I can do (Non-Overclocked) 4700 points in 3dmark 2005 ... which is too low, I think. I should be hitting 6k and higher on this baby. Im running XP Pro SP2, Directx 9C, 84.25 Forceware drivers, have 2gb of ram, 60gb 7200rpm disk, and have latest bios version (A05).

What am I doing wrong/forgetting here? I did a clean install btw, so I don't expect any software issues to be causing this degrade.

-edit- I read the reply above mine, and saw he did 29xx in 3dmark2006. I did about 2650 in 3dmark2006 with this new card. Now I'm confused :-S

I'm new to the benchmark world and 3DMark06. I scored a 3790 on my system. It seemed slow. I had .3FPS on the CPU test and averaged 17FPS on Deep Freeze. Those were the highest and lowest scores during the test. Anyone have any comments?

James,

So which is better for Go7800? 81.94 or 84.20?

Can I assume that since 06 marks are higher on 84.20 then the 03 marks will be even better than 81.94's?

I dont think it makes a big difference whether you are using Go7800 or GT or GTX in terms of finding the best driver for this series.

84.20, because it gets higher marks in 06. Although, since I haven't done it in 2003, it's a bit harder to draw a conclusion.

I need to update these tables, but I will as soon as I can download some new drivers.
