Guest TraderTony
I have just purchased a widescreen 17" monitor to attach to my Samsung X10 laptop. It runs on 1280 x 768 resolution. My Samsung has an Nvidia GeForce 4 graphics card which does not seem to support this resolution. Can you suggest any fixes? Many thanks, in anticipation, for your help. mobilenvidia
Tony, Welcome, all of my modded INFs support that resolution. You'll find that OEM INFs don't always support the less used resolutions. Find the driver you want to install (in driver section) then also download the appropriate modified INF to go with it. Replace the original INF in the driver directory (either nv4_disp.inf or nvxx.inf) with the modified one. Then use the driver update way to install driver (see website for step by step instructions) Enjoy, Pieter.
Guest Guest
Pieter - That's fantastic. I have upgraded and although not currently in the location of the external monitor, the extra resolution options are now displaying. I am very grateful for your help.
