sn0wl
The thing is TVS tray application doesn't even check those registry entries.
hazart
Then, I guess we have to stick to 1.00.10. :) It seems that the good old WOW has gone while WOW HD has come in 1.02.xx. Since our sound cards don't support HD, no TVS 1.02.xx for us, well, unless we disabled WOW HD completely, but a TVS with only TruSurround XT wouldn't be very useful. :)
LSudlow
To top it all off, the version of TruSurround XT in 1.02 is exactly the same version as the one in 1.00.10. :)

Splat
Not quite v1.02.xx, but found v1.01.01, originally for M70. http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Satell...xp-10101-en.zip
sn0wl
Great finding Splat - so it works normally as 1.00.10?

Guest Guest
Tested 1.01.01 on Tecra S2 with Realtek ALC250 Results: Same. Many avi produced hi-pitched, incoherent noise. .mkvs and .rmvbs have no problems, foobar 2000 also functions correctly if DirectSound is the sound renderer. hazart
Fantastic find! :) Edit: Just compared some files of TVS 1.00.10 and 1.01.01 and noticed the following differences (in red): In TVS 1.00.10 File name | File Ver | Product Name | Description | Comments Tvs.sys | 1.0.1.1 | Audio Filter | TOSHIBA Audio Filter Driver | (none) TvsRes.dll | 1.0.0.8 | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound Resource DLL Simplified Chinese (PRC) WOWXT_kern_i386.sys | 1.2.0.0 | SRS WOW XT for Windows XP | SRS Labs WOW XT kernel DLL | Uses WOW XT version 2.0.5.0 reference code TSXT_kern_i386.sys | 1.3.0.0 | SRS TruSurround XT for Windows XP | SRS Labs TruSurround XT kernel DLL | (none) In TVS 1.01.01 File name | File Ver | Product Name | Description | Comments Tvs.sys | 1.0.1.6 | Audio Filter | TOSHIBA Audio Filter Driver | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound Filter Driver for High Definition Audio TvsRes.dll | 1.1.0.1 | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound | TOSHIBA Virtual Sound Resource DLL English (U.S.) WOWXT_kern_i386.sys | 2.0.0.0 | SRS WOW XT for Windows XP | SRS Labs WOW XT kernel DLL | Uses WOW XT version 2.0.5.0 reference code TSXT_kern_i386.sys (no change, same MD5 hash) More about WOWXT_kern_i386.sys Old | New 1.2.0.0 | 2.0.0.0 34 KB | 51 KB 25 Jan 2005 | 1 Jun 2005 I guess there are big changes in WOW XT, the one we use more often (than TruSurround XT)! I doubt there were any HD stuff in the new TVS even though the new Tvs.sys's Comments suggest there is. :)
