Have no clue

I have recently come across the "black bar" problem that nvidia toshiba users have, and the problem is, I don't know where to begin to fix the problem.

I have a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S501

Windows XP SP2

nVidia GeForce4 440 Go with the driver Omega 1.6177

I am pretty sure that I have the most up to date BIOS, but I could be wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pick one the driver here (I recommend 73.40), click to download it. Then click 'enhance' link next to it, there you will access enhancer page. You will see blackbar problem fix tweak at the top. Select it then click submit to get your modifies INF file. Extract the downloaded driver, put the INF file you enhanced to the extracted driver folder - replacing any old one if necessary. Then use this method to install the driver.

Enjoy.
