Guest spaniard
Hi, I've posted here before under the same name...I recently purchased Galactic Civilizations II and I am not able to play it. There is a weird graphical error in the UI that makes the game unplayable. one of the techs suggested I update my drivers. I have a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S701 and a 64MB NVIDIA Geforce4 440 Go, and I have updated my drivers from this site before, I'm currently running 67.50 w/ the enhancer INF - quality INF with black bar fix for 1600x1200 native monitor. I find it very difficult and time consuming to try to find any drivers that work with my computer. I've tried every driver from 82.04 through 83.90 with the previously said enhancer tweaks and none of them work. Everytime the drivers either don't work (an error has occured in the installation) or immediately after installation I get a BSOD. its very frustrating...perhaps I am doing something wrong. this is what I do: I download the driver, unpack it, use enhancer and select the driver, quality and black bar fix, then I save that file directly into the unpacked driver file. then I use the new hardware wizard, install from a list or specific location, then I select the location of the unpacked driver and install. I think I'm doing everything right, but who knows. so unless I am doing something wrong, can someone please suggest some drivers to use for a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S701 and a 64MB NVIDIA Geforce4 440 Go. thanks
mobilenvidia
Quite a few Toshiba users have the same problem as you have. There is not much we can do, as this is looking to be a Video BIOS problem. Toshiba do strange things with the video BIOS's , they quite often turn features off. At this point in time you look to be stuck with your current driver. Unless someone has a work around ?
