Memory Timings

Hey

i have some generic memory here, but every timing i use seems to make my computer rather unstable under certain processes

i finally got it to run sorta stable at a cas latency of 3 and timings of 4-3-3-8, but now i cant overclock without windows going crazy and saying a file named "system" in the system32 folder is missing and then ceasing to boot any further

does anyone know some generic timings i can use for my generic memory that would make it stable in an overclock and wouldnt kill windows?

the only identifying marks on the memory is a "ld" on each chip, and the numbers under the bar code start with ld also

any clues?

thnx
