Video Overlay Problem

You can adjust the video color settings in the nvidia control panel. They only apply while a video is playing, so should do just what you need. In fact it may be misadjusted right now, which might be causing your problem.

No, it's a common problem. VMR extends the color spaces. So blacks looks washed out. I don't want to try fixing it via settings because you can't correct it 100%. There should be a proper way.

Ah! I understand. Ffdshow can correct the color space. The setting is in the Video Decoder Configuration app, on the Overlay\Output\RGB Conversion page. Choose the Full Range contrast option.
