Haoshiro
I recently finished setting up a PC to hook to my new ViewSonic N2750 but do not get a resolution option beyond 1280x1024. The display lists 1366x768 as optimum resolution as well as 1360x768 through VGA (So I'm assuming I can't get optimum resolution w/o DVI?) Anyway, I am using a GeForceFX 5200 on Windows 2000. I Installed the latest 8x.xx drivers from nvidia, then installed your modded INF, but still no luck on either rosultion being selectable. Is there any way I can get 1360x768 and/or 1366x768 as a selectable resolution? Any help is greatly appreciated! ~ Hao
mobilenvidia
Did you install the nVidia driver first, then installed the INF :) Here is what you do, grab the driver you want extract it somewhere. Now REPLACE the INF that comes with driver with my modded one. Install driver and you'll have 1360, 1365 and 1366 x 768 to choose from. Installing the INF does nothing the INF is used to install the driver :)
Haoshiro
After following your instructions I still do not have those resolutions as options. I downloaded the 84.21 drivers, extracted them, replaced the inf and then did Update Drivers; no dice. So then I uninstalled that hardware altogether, rebooted, and when the hardware was detected I installed the drivers from the modded inf; still no dice. What could be wrong here? I ran a utility called PowerStrip and it reports the my display can support well beyond 1280x1024, yet that continues to be the max resolution listed. I'm running Windows 2000 Pro SP4
Bytefield
I have the same issue. I have a Toshiba 5105-S701 laptop (1600x1200 LCD) and I'd like to output 1366x768 resolution on VGA. Downloaded 84.25, replaced nv4_dsp.inf, installed, rebooted, got blue screen, learned you can't use 80 series with 5100 laptops. Installed 79.21, replaced nvts.inf, installed, rebooted, no blue screen. But no 1366x768 resolution. At least 1280x800 is now an option so I can get the aspect ratio mostly right. And strangely, 1600x1200 is no longer an option for the laptop LCD, it insists on calling it 1588x1200, although the display looks normal. Is 1366x768 not supported by GeForce4 440 Go? Am I doing something wrong? Should I try another driver? Would Powerstrip help? Thanks much for any advice. Bob

Guest Guest
Hi, I have teh same problem with a Portege M200 and a 37" flat TV. Where can I find the INF to get 1366x768 resolution? Thanks
mobilenvidia
All the modded INFs have that resolution enabled. Look in the FAQ on how to install etc.
Guest Guest
Ok, I have installed 84.21 driver and INF file, but there´s no 1366x768 resolution. I have tried to add it like a custom 1366x768 resolution but it don´t accept it. Anyone can help me?
Fabrice Roux
Ok, I have installed 84.21 driver and INF file, but there´s no 1366x768 resolution.I have tried to add it like a custom 1366x768 resolution but it don´t accept it. Anyone can help me? If you followed the proper driver install procedure the only obvious reason... is that your screen reports that it doesn't support this resolution. Try unticking the checkbox that says only Hide mode that are not supported in the Geforce panel. Which resolutions are available with this screen? Can you test another cable to your screen? PS: please create an account on the forum... having guests around the same thread is kinda hard to follow.
mobilenvidia
like FR has said the driver was installed properly with modded INF then there should be truck load of resolutions to choose from and add custom resolution also works (but not needed)
Fabrice Roux
I recently finished setting up a PC to hook to my new ViewSonic N2750 but do not get a resolution option beyond 1280x1024.The display lists 1366x768 as optimum resolution as well as 1360x768 through VGA (So I'm assuming I can't get optimum resolution w/o DVI?) Just a little correction... the Viewsonic page says: "PC Compatible from VGA up to 1360x768 non-interlaced" Which means that you can feed your screen with resolution going from VGA (640x480) up to 1360x768. But I want to believe that you'll get the best results with DVI. ps: I would says that the modded INF when used on a huge screen such as mine... allows a boatload of resolutions. BTW do the british say lorryload? (as in truckload translated in their native language) :) Edited April 25, 2006 by Fabrice Roux
screwdriver
Hi, Now I have tried 81.89 and it work OK, with a TabletPC Toshiba Portege M200 and a 37" flat TV (1366x768 resolution), but when I rotate the LCD screen in the TabletPC the image on the screen don´t rotate. The last driver versión from Toshiba is 46.44. Perhaps no other versión works OK when the TabletPC rotate. Can I get the modified INF file for 46.44 version? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Look in modded INF for this line HKR,, RotateFlag, %REG_DWORD%, 4 Change the 4 to 'x10' (yes x as well) and reinstall, this set the rotate to tablet mode. Hopefully more luck now :)
