Hi everybody,

I am looking for a 64 bit drivers that support a Go 7800 GTX on an Alienware laptop.

I'm currently using the v84.22 32bit | CLEVO (DriverVer = 03/09/2006, 8.4.2.2) and I wanna know if someone can help me to create a moded INF for my laptop (as whitetigerrx7 did for the 32 bit drivers) ?

There are a heap of modded 64bit drivers in the 80's section.

Sure but they don't seem to handle the alienware card...

May someone with an alienware's Geforce Go 7800 GTX who has sucessfully installed it give me the correct modded inf ?

I'm so in need of a 64bit machine so I can actually test these drivers and INFs :)

Ok. In fact I cannot test it cause I use my laptop for my workgroup at the University and I do not want to corrupt my previous data with a bad 32to64 bit shift.

I must start to do a backup of my work.

Salut Jack,

If your card has the DeviceID of DEV_0099 the INF available for 80.x driver are likely to work you your machine.

Here is a snippet from the modded INF:

;Mobile PCI-ID's by www.laptopvideo2go.com
%NVIDIA_G70.DEV_0098.1% = nv4_mobile,[tab][/tab][tab][/tab] PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0098
%NVIDIA_G70.DEV_0099.1% = nv4_mobile,[tab][/tab][tab][/tab] PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0099

Believe me unless you use a pretty memory intensive program that is optimized for 64 bit... there is little to gain to switch to 64 bits.

I'll work on making an INF from the 77.13 64bit driver (not for go7800)

I need a working driver to be able to build an INF for newer driver.

Hopefully later today you shall rejoice :)
