hi, have just purchased a advent laptopwithout driver disk.....big mistake.

i have located the sound drivers but am having great difficulty with the video drivers.

all the nvidia frivers i have tried say necessary drivers were not found on your system, or words to that effect.

i cannot find any specific to my machine.

please help

hi, have just tried the medion drivers mentioned in another post and they appear to work ok. i will update this thread if i find any problems but any advent specific drivers would be greatly appreciated

Can you run the app called NERD from here http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?showtopic=756

Then attach the text file that it spits out.

We need you know you PCI_ID # for your GPU

I think it's

NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_032C.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 53x0 "

If it is then all the modded INFs have support for you GPU.

If it's not and something else I can easily add it.

Your the first go5350 I've come accross.

Had a look in the file and you defintly have this Dev_ID:

NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_032C.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 53x0 "

Which means that you can use all drivers you see here.

Now you have replaced the original INF with modded one (ie downloaded and extracted the driver somewhere, then downloaded the modded INF and replaced the original one with the same name)

Not sure if ou have done the above what could be wrong as it works for 1000's of others.

Hi,

you can use my driver (see signature)

You've got the same laptop as mine, only it'is by advent (only change is the logo below the screen)

I have the same crappy Go5350 :)

it has a tv-out fix, because if you use Pieter's original driver, there is a possibility the tv-out won't work, or even your pc crashes :)

you can also try my driver page, all drivers for your laptop are there:
