®®® Posted April 6, 2006 Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 It's a bit silent with driver releases so here's something for the European consumer: TOSHiBA has extended it's Qosmio line and will release shortly the top-of-the-line G30-138 to the European market, though probably only in Scandinavia (Sweden, Danmark, Norway etc.). Qosmio G30-138 features: * NVIDIA® GeForce? Go 7600, 256MB DDR3 * 17 " TruBrite® WXGA+ 1440x900 LCD * INTEL's Duo 2700 * 2 x 512 MB DDR2 533MHz RAM (max. 4GB) * 2 x 100GB (4200 or 5400rpm) HDs More and detailed specifications can be found at this WEBPAGE. I saw the G30 at Harvey Normans (Australia/NZ based) for $NZ4500 VERY nice looking machine, but the WXGA+ screen once again too low res'd for my liking on a 17" screen. Also very nicely appointed with 100GB HD and 1GB of RAM, plus many other goodies. The F20/G30 PDF brochure can be found (Toshiba)here Our model (PQG30A-01Q01J) also comes with 256MB go7600.
