sn0wl
UK system builder Rock is to produce Pegasus 650 notebooks with a large Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach decal on the lid. The company will make no more than 100 of the decorated devices, it pledged. The game's publisher, Atari, will offer three of them as competition prizes. The machines are available to order and configure now from Rock's website. Prices start at £999 inc. VAT, with specifications ranging up to a single-core 2.26GHz Pentium M, up to 2GB of DDR 2 SDRAM and up to 120GB of 5,400rpm hard disk storage. There's a choice of ATI Mobility Radeon X700 or Nvidia GeForce Go 6600 graphics, either of which is used to drive the notebook's 15.4in 1,680 x 1,050 display. A dual-layer capable multi-format DVD writer comes as standard, as does 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, a four-in-one memory card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire and three USB ports. Rock said it is also bundling a pay-as-you-go Vodafone wireless data card and is offering a USB Freeview digital TV tuner as an optional extra. The machine ships with a copy of Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach and a three-year collect-and-return warranty.
