Its a completely different platform. You'll probably be able to get a 7800 upgrade soon...not a GTX mind you, but a basic 7800 much like is in the new dell laptops. so probably there wont be a gtx in the m5700...and im reading that m5700 is mxmII but some peeps say its mxmIII Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well, yeah, Alienware has :) The m5500 first can be had with both 6600 and x1600's. The m5500 is indeed Type II and the m5700 is Type III, but there are reports that some notebooks can handle Type III even though officially only Type II. needless to say that I'm trying to figure that out :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
