It truncates the code, so I guess we will have to wait for the official .inf.

The bottom part of your INF is missing. Just make sure to add the rest before the "[/code]" feild.

Pieter's INF should be out asap, so sit tight :) He's really quick when it comes to these things. :)

Okay Guys, I figured I may as well start a Driver Comparison chart of the 87.xx series. My system specs are:

Dell XPS Gen2

2.0 GHz P-M

1 gig 533 MHz Dual Channel DDR2

100 gig 7200rpm Hitachi Hard Drive

nVidia go6800ultra flashed to 525/1200

-video settings are at max performance

-desktop settings adjusted for best appearance with cleartype fonts and shadows on

**note*** HL2 Benchmark was performed with these settings:

-Resolution: 1024×768

-Demo: HardwareOC - Anticitizen

-Detail: Maximum quality

-Hardware DirectX level: DirectX 9

-High Dynamic Range: None

-Heapsize: 64 MB - default

-Antialising mode: None

-Filtering mode: Bilinear

-Fast Z: Disabled

**note*** CS:S Stress Test was performed with these settings:

-Texture Detail: High

-Shadow Detail: High

I had that same issue.. I tried completely uninstalling the drivers, using a driver cleaner, uninstalled sp2, uninstalled all windows updates, reinstalled laptop drivers and dx9c...... but nothing worked until I did a clean install of xp and everything.... took about 4 hours but it was worth it.. even my back up ghost images had the same issues.....

I believe that you may need to do a clean install unless someone can figure out the culprit causing this.... good luck!!

I am using this driver release on Vaio VGN-S38GP. The official NVIDIA download from the Sony website croaks with a cryptic and useless message, "failure to update".

So I downloaded this series. I do not have any "Other Devices" entry in my Device Manager with a yellow question mark, so I don't know how to use the "Have Disk method". Where should I update the driver?

Thanks! My email is phoenix [dot] kiula@gmail [dot] com. I'd appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Just to add: this laptop comes with this nvidia card:

NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 with NVIDIA® TurboCache?* and 128MB
