Guest Guest
Hmm, seems to be a Fujitsu-Siemens-specific problem... :) (FSC Amilo M 3538G)
Computer Potato
These Drivers work fine on my system. Aero Glass works but I do not get all the control panel options. I can play around with the 3D options and the Multi-Monitors stuff. But nothing to change the Brightness or Gamma.
Thund3rbolt
if anyone tried it on a code 43 card, please report, if this mysterious code 43 appears again =) Yup - same here on the 64 bit ver of the driver with a mod inf. I'm using a 028 board ie Ti4200 8x Suspect the drivers just won't work in that mode. nvidia musta done something to prevent the driver from using those modes. WHY? So we would all go out and buy new cards! JERKS! I thought I would be clever and update the flash on the board to a newer one and maybe get around it but no matter how you slice it a 028 board is a 028 board. TB :)
mobilenvidia
Bugger, I too now get the Code 43 error :) Tried all sorts of things but no luck in why this is is. Might try older drivers even though no CP or 3D Accelleration, (unless mixing the drivers work)
Guest DeLaguna
The reason you are getting code errors like that is probably subsystem id's missing from your inf. and other misc. settings, look at the drivers that your laptop makers, gave you and find the missing settings, that are file independent, and carefully add them into the Inf ... if you mess up be ready to roll back the drivers in safe mode, and try again. there is a vista tweak that should enable aero glass effect on any capable card. I don't have time to post it right now but I will help you all with it tonight I am a Geek Squad agent, and been messing with infs for a while thought the vista has a new style the old style still works for now.. hope will get back with you all. DeLaguna
I will post some successful infs of mine for my alienware 51m (7700) both for vista, and for XP I am also going to mod a a peiters ..(sp) inf tonight so we will have a plether of files, and you can all have fun, if you want me to mode a file for you to TRY (as in beta inf) then run N.E.R.D. on your machine and post the results.. :) Ciao
Guest Guest
Sorry for the past post, my mistake :x I have successfully installed the drivers on my dell 9300 with 7800go GTX, but in the control panel i only have 2 categories to tweak with, the screen selector and the 3d control panel, i dont have the color or tv sub-panel, is it normal ? Can we switch to the old panel ?
XxDeadlyxX
I have exactly the same problem with my 7900GT 512mb, even the options in those two sections hardly work, I get an error when trying to mess with AA and the options you can change dont apply properly. I wonder what a code 43 error actually is. I'm wondering if the NVservice is to blame. Because the driver won't start the service isn't loaded, I wonder if the service is stopping the driver from starting. You can still see the new CP by just running the file NVCPLUI.EXE (included with driver files) even though the driver won't start. I'm trying to stop the service from starting upon installation but the settings are different to XP. Will keep you posted.
