Black Screen and computer lock up

Hello everyone,

I am sorry if this is some where eles i did not see it and I really need some help.

I have a clevo Laptop running a 6800 go when ever i try to play a game EQ2, Battlefield 2, NFS Most Wanted, and SWG there are others but you get the idea I can play for a few min and then the screen goes black i can still hear music for a min than it hangs and the computer locks....

Okay things I have tried i have tried several drivers doing a full uninstall of old drivers and booting to safe mode and using drive cleaner and get the same thing with all of them, I have reinstalled the game aleast 5 times I have even reformated 2 times nothing seems to work.... I have had it looked at by a computer company and they insure me it is not a heat problem.

Some other intersting info about my trouble... if i play SWG in windowed mode with all the high res and visual goodies off i can play most of the time for a while this does not always work but 98% of the time it does, The issue also happens on Star wars Empire at war unless i play inhtere safe mode setting that came with the game...

Install the Coolbits or NVTweak to access the Clocking panel of the driver.

Then downclock your GPU in order to see if your issue is not overheating related.

i have down clocked the GPU to one half what the defalt settings are and checked the fan always on button and managed to play for just over an hor before "I TURNED IT OFF" so does that mean what i think and the tech company was wrong it is a heat issue and i am stuck with a messed up card or are there some other things i can do....
