rmzalbar
BSOD on XPS Gen 2 when used with the Modded INF. Installed with deviceIDs ripped from the 78.11 driver and added to the Dell 84.69 inf using the profile for the NVIDIA_G70.DEV_0098.2 = "NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800" worked fine for my Go 6800 Ultra. Powermizer works, service runs, no app error on exit.
Eaglehawk
This driver release doesn't solve the closing lid - icon/window moving around issue...useless... (Yes, I've logged a job with Dell...yes, they tried to fix it using an older driver, but it's the 87.08 driver with modded inf that works)
Guest sueppchen
hi @ all, I've just installed the new driver to my 1710 dell notebook - I am wondering why the temperature info wnet away, with the old driver I could see the actual temp of the 79xx chip. Jericho
If you have a Dell laptop with a 7x.xx series driver, then you don't need to use the modded inf. These are native Dell Geforce Go 7 series drivers. They work great too. Everything runs very smooth. Edited June 12, 2006 by Jericho
SLoweCSL
On my Dell laptop, the latest drivers listed on the Dell site are the 83.13 version. I believe the chip I have (Quadro NVS 110M) is based off the Geforce Go 7300. Since the Quadro NVS 110M is pretty new, I'm not sure which driver to start with. Will these 84.69's work well? My old laptop had a Geforce Go 5200 and I was using the modded 84.21 drivers. All I know is that the very first game I tried running the 83.13 WHQL drivers (HL2:EP1) resulted in a total system lockup after a few minutes. The second time I received the ominous blue screen of death after a few minutes. Any guidence would be appreciated. Thanks

The 3DMark 2005 score I received was 1529. Not sure how that compares with your setup. I believe the Quadro NVS 120M is based on the Geforce Go7400 chipset, so I would guess it's ok. Guest Guest
I'm the proud owner of a D620 with quadro aswell. After installing these drivers I've ran into a very strange problem. Whenever I change my screen resolution to anything else than 800 x 600, restart (in other words.. log on to windows again), the resolution automatically changes back to 800 x 600. The only way to avoid this, is to remove video drivers from the system but in that case.. none of the 3D applications work. I've also tried drivers that are released by dell but the same problem still remains. Would anyone happen to know how to fix this problem? Rendal
Hi, i just installed the new 8469. In the beginnig i removed the old driver with Driver Cleaner Pro. Installing of the driver works fine. After installation i didnt restart and start ATiTool it works also fine. But after a full restart of the system it says that my GraCard isnt supported, ATiTool didnt work, any games didnt work. I started a DX diagnositc and it tells me: (it cant start DX 8/9, DX7 works fine) HRESULT = 0x8004005 Any ideas ?? Sry 4 bad language ^^ I forgot 2 say that i installed Coolbits 2.0 I reinstalled the driver without Coolbits, till now it works fine So new testing, after 1 hour playing with high resolution and full card acceleration the highest tempreature was 91 °C !!!!!!!!!!!! I also have 2 say that the system was stable with no grafic bugs. With the old 87.08 (or so but it was a 87.XX !!!) was it 75 °C on same settings, whats the difference ??? I also get a large speed up with this new card driver. Can someone explain this? Core and Memory clook speed are the same Edited December 21, 2006 by Rendal
