Dr Squidhead
Hi, I'm having trouble installing the 81.89 drivers. I've DL'd the drivers and the INF file, and have followed the walk through; however, I'm receiving an error telling me that setup can't find "nvinstnt.dll". I'm using a Medion 6100 with a nVidia Geforce 440 GO card. Oh, and I'm updating the drivers from 4.2.3.0 for gaming. Thanks.
Bill
Why would you use that driver? What driver are you currently running? You should try 91.31.
Dr Squidhead
I tried that one because it was recommended to someone who asked about 440 GO in the "Confused ? Then read here" thread in FAQ. I'm currently using driver version, 4.2.3.0 that came with the installation stuff for this comp. I'll try the new ones. Thanks Bill. Dr Squidhead
Hmm. Still no dice. The ?have disk? method gave me the same results as before, telling me setup can't find "nvinstnt.dll". I tried to run setup using the exe then and received this error message: ?Setup detected that the operating system in use is not Windows XP x64 Edition.? Try the 32bit? How do I find out which version I have?
Bill
If you don't know what you are using you probably have a 32 bit OS, so use the 32bit drivers. A Dr. should know these things. :)
