lorebaro
Hi, Just a crazy idea I had this afternoon... My laptop has an SD card reader that I never use. What about having an 1 Gb SD card (high speed 150x = 22.5Mb/s read - 15MB/s write) dedicated only for the virtual memory of windows XP SP2? The average speed of my hard disk is not so different... Any comments? Lorenzo
Bill
I say give it a try, just disable virtual ram on other drivers, enable on high speed SD card, then reboot and test with some games and stuff. Should get better performance in some areas because of less HDD usage, like in certain games and stuff. If it works good you can send me the SD card, oh wait.... :)
Fabrice Roux
For some reason... tiny read/write performance is REALLY bad... who is to blame? USB or SD? Plus you need an VERY GOOD reader to achieve the SD speed limit.
