mobilenvidia
Powermizer is broken. On my machine the sliders arn't there at all, the text to say what the sliders do is still there. The text says that the power settings are set to Max Battery performance, but actual setting is Max Performance. :) Really weird, as of now not a recommended driver for laptop users. I'll get a screen shot later.
ZZTOP77
I just run some benches :P . But still got problem with any kind movie :) , it's just not working , black screen  Anyway, seems 71.84 perform better tough. :)
Guest chris
PowerMizer works here Sliders are there, detection of ac or battery power, everything is fine. No big problems with video too, using VMR with nvhwid.dll, very rarely Video output is jerky, but simply stopping and restarting video, solves that little problem. This is with a NVIDIA Geforce FX Go5700 in an HP zd7000 series notebook (Intel 865PE chipsset, Northwood 3.2 GHz Pentium 4)
ephewe
 I am also getting the missing power mizer sliders. I'm starting to give up on new (WORKING) drivers ever coming out for my geforce fx go5600.
mobilenvidia
So can we assume that everything up to the go5600 has no Sliders. go5700 works fine, anybody with a go6800 tried this ?
Guest Guest
Hi, I have the slider on the powermizer page. BTW, I am using go6800.
mobilenvidia
Hi, I have the slider on the powermizer page. BTW, I am using go6800. Cheers for that, that confirms my thoughts. Powermizer only works for go5700+ The go5700 was the first with Powermizer 4.0 and hence I can conclude that anything lower than powermizer 4.0 will fail. The go6800 has Powermizer 5.0 which also works. I wonder if nVidia know about this ?

Guest PJ
Hi guys, I've tried this with my new dell M70 and Quadro FX Go 1400. The original drivers that come from dell are 67.71 and there are no updates so I gave these a try. It all works fine so far and few bugs I used to notice are gone now. Some of my custom 3d applications are much faster, Where I used to get 60fps now I get 90fps, but that's my stuff, so not a perfect test. On 3D Mark 2005 before the score was 2413 and with the new drivers it's 2677 that's without any overclocking. Thanks for the inf file. Sky-Dexter
Some kind of Over-Heating on my lil' go5700 with this one ... it's really not one for a lappy :)
Guest Guest
with the modified inf, i can't add any custom resolution, but it works perfectly fine with the orginial inf
Guest olaf
These driver are much faster than 67.70, 71.84. On dell inspiron 9300 p-m 2ghz and go6800 oc 388/772. 71.84 oc was 3727, 76.44 same oc was 4307 No other problems noted so far
Guest Guest
Hello! I wonder if anyone can fix the inf-file top support my GeForce2 GTS without performance settings and other stuff like that, I just want it original with the WHQL-stamp and install it...
Guest Guest
You can't have it whql. Its not whql for your card.
Guest Guest
Okey but I still want to use the drivers with or without the WHQL.
mobilenvidia
WHQL is a digital stamp that Microsoft add to the driver that is only valid for the original GPU's If you add more support then the WHQL stamp becomes invalid. Why do you have to have WHQL, it makes no difference, it doesn't mean it makes the driver run better or faster it only means Microsoft have tested it. davidmcc
For what it's worth i have a go5200 and the powermizer is there.
Guest PKY
PowerMizer is there Toshiba P20 with FX5600Go. Sliders are also there with the later 76.50 drivers.
mobilenvidia
The plot thickens, might be a BIOS related thing. I think the main cause is the go6800 Ultra turning of Max performance in battery mode. There should be a fix coming soon I hope for us with the problem. Maier
could this driver hurt my videocard because the sliders arent there, the driver works good besides the sliders
Bill
It can't hurt your card, if this driver does mess anything up, a clean driver install will fix it. Overclocking and/or overheating will damage/destroy/fry you graphics card, so watch out for those, driver updates don't make any changes to the card. Now updating the BIOS with a wrong/hacked one can damage your card, or atleast make it inoperable.
