Guest Guest Posted August 30, 2008 Report Share Posted August 30, 2008 This driver 177.81 (same thing as 177.84) is best overall driver for me. used original INF for they 8600MGT on my M1530 and pulled in 5169 marks on 3dmark06 (at 1280 X 1024 resolution, overclocked to 600/800). For some comparisons to other recent drivers: 177.73 --> 5161 marks (using original inf) 177.83--> 5061 marks (using modded inf) 177.89 --> 5058 marks (using modded inf) 177.92 --> 5063 marks (using modded inf). While benching the drivers in COD4, I noticed that 177.92 had a higher max framerate than 177.84 (147 max vs 137 max). However, 177.92 also had a lower minimum framerate (16 min vs 22 min). 177.84 had the overall higher average framerate (51.3 vs 49.6). I haven't had as much time to play around with that many dif games since COD4 and crysis are the only 2 games I have installed right now.
