9x00M and 8x00M GPU's compared

Here is a comparison of both the 8x00 and 9x00M based GPU's.

I've ordered them into Quadro and Geforce's and also into approximate performance.

Not the prettiest chart but it's not what I do best or why most of you come here.

Hopefully this will enlighten some of you of what GPU does what.

Feel free to fill the gaps or correct any booboo's I've made with a reply here.

I can easily update the chart as it's excel based.

Quadro 3700M = slow 9800GTX? :O

Or visa versa; Quadro has more processing units than 9800M GTX.

yah,

I meant desktop 9800GTX, they have the same number of shaders.

but if the clocks are too slow then its no point having them,

the 9800MGTX doesnt greatly benifit from its extra shaders because of its clocks.

It's the same as Dual and Quad core processors.

Is a 3Ghz Dual Core faster than a 2.5Ghz Quad Core over all ?

Is the 8700M GT the fastest GPU with 625/1550/800Mhz clocks but with only 32 cores ?

it may be the fastest, but it certianly isnt the best. can vouch for that! :)
