Guest citrixcl
System: Inspiron 5150, 64MB GeForce FX Go 5200 Pentium 4 Northwood 3.066Ghz, 1 GB RAM, Settings: No Off AF Off High Performance VSync Off No Overclocking 1281 3Dmarks on 45.86 (DELL) with pieter's 20.19 1281 3Dmarks on 56.82 (NV) with pieter's 20.19 Overclocked to 200/400 1305 3Dmarks on 56.82 with pieter's 20.19 1322 3Dmarks on 56.82 with sudlow's 5150inf (w/ Sideband Addressing) 1328 3Dmarks on 53.82 with sudlow's 5150inf (w/ Sideband Addressing) I declare sudlow the winner on the 5150 platform. Just kidding. WARNING: Don't use Larry's mods on anything other than a Dell Inspiron 5150. My guess is the sideband addressing helps out. Larry is right that the 53.xx is faster than 56.xx and I am sticking to that. Also notice that the newest dell drivers matched the newest nvidia drivers in benching even though they are for completely different series of drivers. I think I remember I had a 1350 using the 53.03 starstorm edition but I also remember they had plenty of bugs until pieter got to them. Larry I also noticed alot of trouble installing with lots of different error messages as well as lots of screen flicker at timesm and tons of monitor install popups. I know we can set it to a maximum number of displays... I'll hope there arent any more black flickers but they are just a little inconvience during startup. People should use this info. Thanks for the nice summary.
LSudlow
Yes, thanks for the great info, citrixcl. Your results are pretty consistent with mine. Also, thanks for the tip on the BIOS update. I'd missed it!

mobilenvidia
I thought I had better disable it for the masses (stability) It shouldn't too bad to enable itl, as for GPU's that don't support it (GF2go) just ignore that setting. On some machines it might cause instablility, for as you can see only a 1% performance hit is it worth it. Good work guys, this clears up the SBA issues, conclusion a 1% performance increase. Now what about FW (Fastwrites), Citrxcl are you staying up till 7am again to test (hehe) Pieter.
Guest citrixcl
Fastwrites was enabled on all my testing. Fast writes is an advanced method that some older cards may not be able to use, and software is not written with it in mind either. From what I have read it really has no effect on performance on today's cards. It may be only helpful in some situation I haven't encountered. But if it gives some sort of 1% increase keep it. Guest citrixcl
I found it crashed and gave me a horrible 3dmark (936) and in game lots of glitches and problems with textures and funny spots with my overclocking at 248/496 I found a very nice 3dmark of 1419 at 215/430. I think everyday I will push it one more mhz core and two more mhz mem until it has problems again. once i reach that point i will move back one step and call it perfect. i know its between 215 and
