metalangel
http://www.hothardware.com/printarticle.cfm?articleid=419 I've yet to put these settings to the test (actually, my GF4 440 exploded within the first month of owning my I8200) so I've toned them down a bit (5 points each) and will run them through The Sims 2 and Desert Combat tomorrow. Darmdorf
Nice link! Geeee......those were the days when our 8200's and C840's melted the tarmac. I'm still not in a mood to fry my GF4 though. It still has a lot of life ahead. :)
metalangel
I've been using these settings for over a week, and I've not suffered anything except improved perfomance! I've got it set to 245 and 520, and haven't had any freezes or crashes. Yup, the Inspiron was a powerhouse. I used to share a house with comp sci students, and it was more powerful than all their beloved custom desktops... they clustered around my new machine, tweaking it and running 3DMark and Unreal Tournament with the detail all the way up... and drooling :)
Guest Proton
I have this laptop with this card and I am running at 290/540 with drivers 77.77. I get fairly amazing results with these values with negligible artifacting, but I have a giant house fan nearly leaning against the back of my laptop just in case. Right now while I type this, my CPU is at 43 degrees, GPU 39 degrees and harddrive is at 42 degrees. Comfy. :) Proton
