Guest Mrpres
I Just purchased a Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv6000 and installed Windows Vista x64. The Issue I have is my Geforce Go 7200 is installed as a Geforce 7300 Le. With current configuration I have seen a performance decrease in my card by about 70% from windows xp 32 bit. sad. is there anyway to install my Go 7200 as it was meant to be installed? preferably with a 64 bit driver? Guest MrPres
To update, I have have just successfully installed 9633_Visa64 with the modified inf and device manager now displays my video card as a GeForce Go 7200. However the framerates i'm receiving now are even less then that of the previous driver, what did I do wrong? For an example benchmark I use Half Life 2 Windows xp 32bit I averaged 43 frames a second Windows vista x64 first driver I averaged 13 Windows vista x64 second driver I averaged
Fabrice Roux
Don't use Vista for gaming, that is simple... it's not ready for prime time for desktop PCs... and even less for laptops. And keep in mind the fact that when going from XP 32 bits to Vista 64 bits the OS memory usage jumps from less than 512Mb to a 1Gb. Also remember that your GPU uses system RAM (270 Mb from what I see)...
