mrchris181
Hi was just wondering if my Dell XPS M1210 with Intel® Media Accelerator 900 was compatible with a MXM Upgrade... ? or if anyone had another other suggestions on how to upgrade my graphics? - Chris
smax
If it's Intel graphics, I'll tell you right now it's soldered on the motherboard. So, no.
mrchris181
Well wot about the - MXM: PCI Express card..would that not be compatible with my system?
smax
If the graphics are integreated into the system, why would any designer put an empty MXM slot onto a motherboard that is designed to be small...? No.

Ice-Tea
If it is soldered to the board then no. And Dell does not use MXM in the other case.
RogueThunderBird
Last I herd it requires a full motherboard swap in this systems case. Which although possible is rediculously costly and requires significant skill disassembling laptops and reassembling them. If your good with such-sadly, I wouldn't think youd be asking... so its probobly one of those "no such luck" situations... And no, its not MXM regardless...
