®®®
In the last couple of weeks a lot of NVIDIA drivers from out of our archives were repacked and also some were freshly uploaded... all without a news announcement. This is due to the fact that some of these releases were only updated by me with a few additional/updated MultiLanguage files, Application & Games Profiles, a WHQL certificate or more original ODM/OEM INFs. Others were plainly missing in our driver archive (undiscovered releases) and are now available for the masses. Don't be surprised. Half of them are from the pre 50s series era... quite dinosaurs in NVIDIA's driver release history for Laptops and Notebooks considering that the GATEWAY 16.xx release for GeForce 2 Go is the first known mobile ODM/OEM NVIDIA driver ever. No 20s series is known to be released by a notebook manufacturer (at least i have not found them yet) and then just a few drivers (5-10) from the 3x.xx series were available from Toshiba and HP only. So these are quite classic nowadays and also in rare cases (GeForce 4 xx Go series) the only functional drivers if problems arise. Be aware that not all driver threads were created or updated by me due to time lack :) If a thread doesn't exist yet you can still download the drivers using our standard driver naming scheme for XP drivers: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/XXseries/XXXX.nfo http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/XXseries/XXXX.exe Here's the list (all XP drivers if not mentioned else): 31.80 New 32.20 New 37.50 New 37.60 New 37.62 repacked 40.41 New 40.72 New 41.04 New 41.09 New 41.13 XP 32bit & Win9x New 41.14 XP 32bit & Win9x New 41.90 Win9x New 43.51 repacked 43.56 New 44.22 New 44.67 New 44.68 repacked 44.82 New 44.89 New 45.74 repacked Here'S the second part. 61.71 repacked 61.88 New 71.84 XP 64bit repacked 79.72 New 84.66 repacked 84.69 repacked 84.85 New 86.06 New 86.14 New 86.28 New 86.33 repacked 91.47 repacked 91.63 New 92.77 New 93.51 New 93.71 repacked 96.85 VISTA 32bit repacked 96.98 New 97.35 VISTA 32bit repacked Edited December 28, 2006 by sn0wl Removed 'New' images due to limit error. Bill
No 20s series is known to be released by a notebook manufacturer (at least i have not found them yet) and then just a few drivers (5-10) from the 3x.xx series were available from Toshiba and HP only.My laptop shipped with a 27.xx driver with my GF 440 go like about 4 years ago when I got it.I should try to find a copy of it. Edit: Here they are, Dell still has them up. Almost as dedicated as we are. :) Dell 27.50: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...mp;fileid=45106 Dell 28.35: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...mp;fileid=47461 Has Change log too. callumy
Interestingly enough, my laptop came with a 28.46 driver that I used for a while. It was pretty dodgy for playing games (Need For Speed Underground 2 would have black scattered triangles all over the screen when the 'eye candy' features were applied). That can be downloaded from Toshiba for Windows XP from here: http://www.isd.toshiba.com.au/71/live.dll/...&oid=293989 I have later updated to a version from Windows Update. This is 46.91 I will try to see if 52.16 works, but I know of those two that at least were realeased by Toshiba for the Go420 GPU. If you get stuck trying to download the 28.46 drivers, go to the Toshiba site, find their downloads center and look up the Satellite 1410 system. They are there (at least on the Australian site, http://www.toshiba.com.au) Cal
uncajesse
oops.... too early to read numbers this morning, lol. i was thinking of the 21.89 drivers, the fastest DX8 drivers for GeForce 3. everything after that point seemed like it was software limited. :) v21.89 isn't in the archive tho. ®®®
I think it was 21.83 (not mobile though) which was an official one, if i remember correct. We made the cut beginning with 40s drivers some years ago, but i was tempted to add a few 30s drivers too. ZEPTO also released a mobile 29.40 (Compal Toshiba INF). So we have 3 known 20s drivers? Or are there even more?
uncajesse
I was surprised that 21.89 is still available from Dell: ftp://ftp1.us.dell.com/video/G3T2A02.EXE The most well known 2x.xx series driver though I think is 23.11 because it seemed to be the most stable driver for everyone. And that was around the same time that VIA KT266 chipset was having the "Pre EO" BSOD issues. I'm sure you remember how fun that was. :) Edited January 2, 2007 by uncajesse
®®®
:) Maybe we should even add those mobile 20s series releases to the archives... just for the sake of it :P I should add that on the "not important to do" list. And thanks for sharing your memories of the good ol times :)
