ultraniblet
Hi, My first post so nice to meet you all! I had a look around the forums before asking but to be honest I'm finding everything a little over my head, so apologies if this is spam ... My problem is I just bought a Sony VGN-C1Z 13.1" 1280x800 laptop to replace my ancient one which died spectacularly recently. It's working pretty well (freezes up for a few seconds every now and then - Core 2 duo issue?) but my main problem is with using an external 1280x1024 monitor via the VGA port. I tried with two separate monitors - it's not too bad but the screen is noticeably blurry. I am still using the original Sony manufacturer nVidia drivers - G72.DEV_01D8.6. Could it be due to the different resolutions? I guess this is my question in a nutshell - should I: 1) Try installing some new nVidia drivers, if so which ones should I go for? 2) Take the laptop back and try and get an exchange/upgrade :) Kind of annoyed a brand new laptop is worse than the one it replaced Thanks a lot for your time!
