SwampYankee
Hi, My laptop operates OK, but there is some jerkeiness and I can't play some games with this old driver (GalCiv2 for example). I downloaded the 158.43 drivers for my card (I think this is the correct driver). When I try and install I am told "Can't find any drivers compatable with you hardware ......................" Is this the correct driver? The last lines of the inf file are: [strings] ; Non-Localizable Strings REG_SZ = 0x00000000 REG_MULTI_SZ = 0x00010000 REG_EXPAND_SZ = 0x00020000 REG_BINARY = 0x00000001 REG_DWORD = 0x00010001 REG_SZ_APPEND = 0x00010008 ; Localizable Strings NVIDIA = "NVIDIA" NVIDIA_G80.DEV_0191.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX" NVIDIA_G80.DEV_0193.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS" NVIDIA_G80.DEV_0194.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra" NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0400.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS" NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0402.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT" NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0421.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT" NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0422.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS" NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0423.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS" NVUninstall.desc = "NVIDIA Display Driver" DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows Vista Driver Installation Disk 1" can this be modified so this driver will work?
