cwn8970
I have the card - and was planning on upgrading my Nvidia GO 7800 with it for better graphics. Upon installation and reboot I get nothing on my monitor - black screen. Don't even see the Dell BIOS boot up screen. Wondering if card is not compatible or if bad outright - any help? Here is some data on my old card so you know what I'm up against..... Guest debaucher
You can use the 7900GTX in an E1705 with no problems. You may have not installed it correct or perhaps it is a bad card. I would suggest reinstalling the card and see if it works from there (maybe you did not seat it right, plug in a cable etc...). I have a Quadro2500M (basically the 7900GTX with OpenGL optimizations) in my E1705 and it works with no problems. You can also put in a 7950GTX into the E1705. D. Guest Zolutar
Also best thing to do as I had the black screen to my switch, pre-install drivers which support the 7900 gtx go, if you install the card with the stock driver from the 7800 go, it doen't suppost the 7900 gtx
