Guest Gubanotorious Posted August 1, 2007 Report Share Posted August 1, 2007 Hey everyone, I installed this driver and all appears to be fine, but even still with this driver (I have tried a handful of versions), when using my 8600M via the DVI connection, it always wants to make my external monitor res 1024x768 regardless of the native res on the monitor (I have a MacBook Pro running Vista x64 - I know, it's not supported, but I think this is a NVidia issue considering I have everything running just fine). I have tried with a Sony 19", a HP 2335 23" Widescreen and an Apple 30" Cinematic all with the same results. Has anyone found a reason / fix for this? Is it a known issue? The only fix I was able to find was using the DVI -> VGA dongle for those monitors that accept VGA (I'm out of luck with the 30" Apple until I get this working), and I was able to get the native 1900x1200 out of the 2335. But this driver has some errors of power management. If I close my laptop to let power save and I open it, then it displays nothing, just black. And in the case of hibernation the same result makes. This driver is good to me, but I cannot use power saving mode. I am just using only shutdown -_-; Has anyone experienced this case? Is it a known issue? Help me plz. I did not upgrade yet to this version as I just found it and awaiting to see if they'll fix this issue first. Also, I need confirmation that it will work with Nvidia 8400M GT (it lists 8400 GS only).
