axis09
hi all i have an aurora m7700 with 7900gtx(bioshock beta drivers) i've had nothing but problems with bioshock, crashing hanging bsod, everything i discovered my only safe settings for max was 1280*720 Windowed, the game ran but framerate was poor(no matter what texture settings etc) and lagged and froze for seconds at a time then today i replaced my saitek controller with a 360 usb controller and bingo max settings full screen at 1440*900 stuttering really reduced(i do only have a gig of ram) much smoother frame rate i can actually load with the shader setting on and it doesnt crash, maybe its something to do with the change in options when you plug the controller in i dont know, all the options screens change still i'm happy and off to play bioshock from the start great site by the way Edited September 21, 2007 by axis09
axis09
ok all weekend and no problems, i know this makes no sense , well it doesnt to me, but i swear the controller has made all the difference to bioshock not that i recommend getting a controller for this one game, as most games dont support the 360 controller
